Season 23 saw the first full season of racing for the cake cyclists with a raft of early season results seeing the team rising up as high as division 6. Wyman William hitting his best form at the right time saw a run of 3 wins in Aups-Lorgues-Aups and Geneve-Thonon-Les-Bains, with a final season surge in Lessi-Lessi. However, a late spate of injuries and general fatigue saw a dramatic fall back down to division 8.
The team performance consultant Tom Kerrison has reported that Wyman William hasn't been making progress that would be expected of him at this important stage of his career, sparking rumors through the team that the management might be heading in a new direction and may need to find a new long term captain.
A new sprinter to the team has started showing signs of real potential with a finishing power rivaling that of Pro Tour sprinters, however these figures come from static laboratory tests and have yet to be replicated on the road. We will have to wait and see where Roberto Tavares's incredibly high talent ceiling will lead him, with the best outcome being that the team will have a Boonen-Cavendish like approach to one day racing finishes.
